For thirty days we experienced China, Tibet and Nepal. We visited Bejing for the Screen Printing Expo, followed by trips to Dazu, Choungqing, Guilin, Xian, Chengdu and a 3 day cruise on the Yello River. We saw construction of the 3 gorges dam. The largest construction project in the history of man. Tibet was our next destination. At 13,000’ altitude we drove for 2 hours in a small uncomfortable bus to get from the airport to Lhasa. Now, China has a high speed train that makes the trip in minutes.

Continuing our voyage to Nepal, we were unfortunately in Katmandu on the evening of the assassination of the Royal Family. We left our hotel at 3:00AM and made it out of the country before the borders were closed.
